Puppies

Roo has been bred to Chip. We will know in a couple weeks if she is pregnant.

We reserve the right to refuse the sale of any puppy for any reasons. 

Please note, we only have 1 - 2 litters a year. 

When a puppy is born at Epic Gold it is forever a member of our family.  We are a small hobby breeder who values the original standard of the Golden Retriever. This means we follow a strict code of ethics provided by the Golden Retriever Club of America. Our puppies are born in our home, and are raised hands on. We use a mixture of Avidog and Puppy Culture to ensure our puppies are set up to be confident, loving, and intelligent companions. At an early age we use different exposure techniques to introduce new smells, sights, sounds, and textures to our puppies. For us, we are breeding to preserve and adhere to the AKC breed standard. We are confident our puppies will make excellent companions for our buyers. 

What we look for in litters: 

When we evaluate a litter we have two processes that we do. The first one we do is in a new environment with a certified k9 behaviorist that evaluates our puppies temperaments. The results of the temperament tests will allow us to place puppies in homes based upon drive, biddability, and over all temperament of the puppy. 

The second evaluation we do is one that the breeder, co breeders, and mentors conduct to evaluate the structure of the puppy. We stack each puppy and look at the  over all correctness of each body to the standard. In doing this, we are able to determine which puppies are best suited for show, field, sports, therapy work, and pet homes. 

As the breeder, I will choose your puppy for you from my litters because I have raised them and know them best. Please make sure you are thorough in your application so I am better able to pair you with your new best friend. 

Once you have an Epic Gold Puppy you will be apart of our family. Through the lifetime of your puppy, we will offer you support and guidance.
